Breaks far too Easily!!!!!, July 24, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Emotion Kayaks Longbow Canoe Paddle (Black) (Sports) We run a Boat rental business, we started with 4 boards and 4 paddles. We've broken 4 paddles so far, they snap where the plastic paddle meets the aluminum tube. They break during normal use in calm water. Emotion makes great Kayaks and Stand up paddles boards but these paddles need to be re-engineered, not recommended!!
UPDATE - Emotion kayaks customer service was great - they were going to send us repalcement paddles but today we were informed by email that they have stopped selling these and will not replace them, instead they asked that we send the broken paddles back to Amazon for refund. Kind of a hassle but kudos to Emotion and Amazon for standing behind a product. In the mean time we have been using the BIC SUP paddles and they have held up prefectly. Don't buy, July 24, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Emotion Kayaks Longbow Canoe Paddle (Black) (Sports) When I first received the paddle I was stoked just what I wanted, three peice looked great. We are a recreational family and love the lake but the third time using it it was a perfect glassy day when I was pulling it through the water when snap I went right in the water. The blade broke at the base leaving me holding the aluminum shaft with a plastic stub were the blade was attached. I was out in the middle of the lake with out a paddle. I have not found out If the are going to replace it maybe it was a fluke. I will let you know.

It can be adjusted for various heights so "one size does not have to fit all." I purchased it for my emotion paddleboard, so this is used for a standing position. It comes in three pieces and it is easy to assemble. It also has a meshsac that complements my other gearbags perfectly. THe product was shipped and delivered within two days of my purchase! Enjoy!
